1. Informasi Umum

Kontes Menulis Bahasa Korea KSI KCCI 2026 diadakan dengan metode luring/ offline.

2. Syarat Ketentuan 

(wajib memenuhi semua poin)

• Merupakan peserta AKTIF KSI KCCI periode sesi 1 tahun 2026 yang telah menyelesaikan minimal 2 tingkat kelas bahasa Korea KSI Indonesia cabang mana pun.
• Peserta yang telah menyelesaikan 1 tingkat dan sedang mengikuti tingkat selanjutnya di KSI KCCI diperbolehkan untuk ikut.
• Bagi peserta yang terdaftar di lebih dari satu KSI, hanya diperkenankan untuk mengikuti kontes melalui salah satu KSI. Apabila ditemukan adanya pendaftaran ganda, KSI KCCI berhak membatalkan keikutsertaan peserta dan/atau menarik kembali hadiah yang telah diterima atas kemenangan pada kontes.
• Warga Indonesia berusia di atas 18 tahun dengan orang tua berkewarganegaraan Indonesia dan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa ibu.

Acara ini juga dalam rangka menyambut Hari Perpusnas RI (HUT ke-46 Perpusnas RI) pada 17 Mei.

The Korea Times will hold its 3rd Korean Language Speaking Contest.

This event aims to recognize and reward non-Korean nationals who have a deep interest in Korean language and culture, and encourage them to continue exploring and engaging with the country.

As part of our mission, The Korea Times is committed to expanding the global presence of Korean language and culture, as well as Korea’s influence on the international stage.

Benefits for participants

Summer internship opportunity: One winner who is currently enrolled in a university or graduate school in Korea will be selected for a summer internship at The Korea Times.

How to apply

Step 1. Choose your category

A. Speaking

Topic: Create a video by choosing either a free topic or one of the organizer’s suggested topics.

Free topic: Daily life, hobbies, personal experiences, etc. (Creative formats such as impressions, parodies, etc., are allowed.)

Suggested topic: “What is my favorite K-?”

* “K-” refers to anything related to Korea, including cultural elements that represent Korea. Examples include K-pop, dramas, films, literature, beauty, etiquette and lifestyle, food, traditional culture, cities, places, TV programs, idols and more.

Field: Judging criteria and awards may vary, depending on the category you choose.

B. Pronunciation

For the Korean Pronunciation Challenge, choose one of the provided Korean tongue twisters and film yourself reading it within 30 seconds. Applicants in the Speaking category are also welcome to participate.

FAQ

Q. What are the format and time limits for short-form and long-form videos?

A. There are no restrictions on video format. Short-form videos must be 60 seconds or less, and long-form videos must be between 2 minutes and 3 minutes 30 seconds. There is no time limit for the Pronunciation Category.

Q. Can I apply to multiple fields in the Speaking Category? What about the Pronunciation Category?

A. You may apply to only one field in the Speaking Category (either short-form or long-form). However, you may also apply to the Pronunciation Category even if you applied to the Speaking Category. If one participant is selected as a winner in both categories, the award will be granted only for the category with the higher prize amount, and duplicate awards will not be given.

Q. How is the internship candidate selected?

A. One winner who is currently enrolled in a university (or graduate school) in Korea will be selected from the winners of the Speaking and Pronunciation categories for a The Korea Times Summer Internship. Interviews will be conducted with winners who wish to apply, and the final selected candidate will work as an intern for approximately two months.

Q. What cases will result in a deduction of points?

A. Points will be deducted only in the following cases:

• Short-form video exceeds 1 minute, or long-form video is under 2 minutes or exceeds 3 minutes 30 seconds
• Reading directly from a script while filming (except for the Pronunciation Category)
• Excessive cut editing that is deemed to interfere with evaluation
• Using an AI-generated voice in the video

Q. Can we apply as a team?

A. Yes. Team applications are allowed for up to three (3) people, and all team members must appear in the video. Each member must also submit an individual application form.

Q. How is a team’s score calculated?

A. The team’s speaking score is calculated as the average of the individual scores of all members. For example, if A scores 90 and B scores 70, the team score will be 80.

Q. Can I apply with my face covered?

A. Applications with a covered face (e.g., wearing a mask) are allowed only for religious or personal reasons. However, if you are shortlisted as a potential winner, you may be required to complete an additional identity verification and Korean proficiency confirmation process by revealing your face to the organizers only, to ensure a fair evaluation.

Q. What is the deadline for video submission?

A. The submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. (KST) on May 7 (Thursday).

Q. Is attendance at the award ceremony mandatory?

A. Yes. Attendance is mandatory. Participants residing in Korea must attend in person, and participants residing overseas must attend online. If you cannot attend due to unavoidable circumstances, your award may be revoked.

Q. Do winners need to submit additional documents?

A. Yes. Winners must submit supporting documents and required information for prize payment. If any false or fraudulent information is found, the winner’s eligibility will be revoked.

Q. When and how can I receive the Certificate of Participation?

A. Certificates will be sent in a batch via Gmail in June, after the award ceremony, to applicants who requested them. If you entered an incorrect email address on the application or cannot receive Gmail, it may be difficult to receive the certificate individually. We appreciate your understanding.

Q. What happens in cases of plagiarism or copyright issues?

A. In the event of plagiarism or copyright infringement (including plagiarism from other speaking contests), all responsibility (including legal disputes) rests with the participant, and the award may be revoked even after winners are announced.

On August 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will launch the 7th “Action with Women and Peace” Youth Contest. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda and the 10th anniversary of the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda. The contest will highlight the future of the WPS agenda and the role of youth. Young people around the world between the age of 19 and 34 can participate in one of three categories; illustrations, Instagram comics, or slogans. A total of 6 million Korean won in prize money will be awarded, and the grand prize winner will receive round-trip airfare to Korea and accommodation to attend the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to be held during the 7th International Conference on Action with Women and Peace in mid-November, Korea.

• Furthermore, those new technologies can work as new instruments to communicate information and messages related to WPS

(#2) The future of women’s leadership in the field of peace and security, and the role of the youth

• Women continue to be underrepresented in the negotiation of ceasefire and peace agreements. However, as women are actors who can prevent conflicts and build peace, full, equal, meaningful, and safe participation of women is pursued to achieve sustainable peace.
• In the area of peace activities, women from diverse generations are participating, and it is important to facilitate inter-generational support and sharing of knowledge and experiences
• Notably, it is necessary that we empower youth and expand their participation as they are the future leader of the peace and security area.

Eligibility

All youth around the world (ages 19-34) can enter the contest.

• In case of team participants, 1 person must be designated as a team leader
• The date used as the basis for determining age is the starting day of the contest, August 18, 2025.
• The MOFA ROK does not engage with the distribution of prize money among team members or the results thereof.

The initial payment will be made to the team representative.

In the event of any issues related to copyrights of the submitted works, the participant shall bear full civil and criminal liability.
• Entries that are: △award-winning works from other competitions, △works that infringe on others' copyrights or use others' names without permission, or△plagiarized works will be excluded from selection as award-winning works. Even after the award-winning works are decided, if such facts are revealed, the award will be revoked, and the award proceeds will be recovered.

• Participants must review the contents of these contest guidelines and contest announcements, and any damages resulting from failure to review the注意事項 (notes) shall be borne by the participant.
• Copyright-related matters for submitted works. The copyright of winning works shall, in principle, belong to the creator.

Guidelines for Utilizing AI

• This contest accepts AI-generated works, including those created using generative AI, or works that utilize AI as entries
• However, if the use of AI involves entering images owned by others into the prompt to induce similar outputs, or directly mentioning specific works or authors in a way that infringes on the copyrights of others, the entry will be excluded from judging and awards.
• When using AI, the prompt entered must be submitted along with the contest participant’s concept, and it will be referenced during the judging process.
• Simply submitting AI-generated outputs resulting from prompt input may be penalized based on evaluation criteria such as creativity. Even when using AI, participants are encouraged to make additional modifications, such as editing, adding, or rearranging the output, to demonstrate their creative contribution.
• For specific guidelines related to AI usage, we recommend referring to the Korean Copyright Commission’s “Guidelines for Creative Work Competitions,”“Generative AI Copyright Guide,” and “Guide to Preventing Copyright Disputes Caused by Generative AI Outputs.”

• Formats are flexible, including video (under 180 seconds), short forms (under 60 seconds), art and crafts, photo books, etc.
• The topics below are examples. Please feel free to create content commemorating Korea’s liberation that goes beyond these themes.

Example Topic 1. Creating content related to Korea’s liberation: A celebratory performance reenacting the moment of liberation, reading the Declaration of Independence, making works inspired by symbols like the Independence Gate or The Independent newspaper, or designing and printing a Taegukgi (Korean flag) to celebrate Liberation Day

Example Topic 2. Sharing the values of freedom and peace: Educating neighbors and future generations about the significance of Korea’s liberation

Example Topic 3. Content about those who dedicated themselves to liberation: Introducing Korean independence activists you admire, comparing Korean independence activists with figures from your own country, and learning about fellow countrymen who supported Korea’s independence, etc.

Example Topic 4. Stories of Korea rising above hardships following liberation: Creatively expressing themes such as war and peace, industrialization, and democracy through webtoons, illustrations, videos, etc.

Who Can Apply

• Foreigners (Participation is allowed individually or as a team. For teams, prizes and benefits are awarded as if to one person)

Submission Guidelines

• Promotion video: Between 2 and 3 minutes long, in Full HD (1920x1080) resolution or higher
• Meme & Trend: Between 15 and 60 seconds long, in Full HD (1080x1920) resolution or higher
• Art & Craft, Photo Book (submit both the original images and a making-of video)
• Image: Drawn on paper measuring 210mm × 297mm (A4, ISO 216 standard) and then scanned
• Photo: Minimum resolution of 2953 x 4169 pixels, with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher
• Making-of video: Produced in Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and under 5 minutes long
• Format requirements by work type: Entries that do not meet the specified format when submitting the original for the finals may be disqualified.

Submission Criteria

1. Create a work that freely embodies the spirit of commemorating the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation (the use of artificial intelligence is not allowed).
2. Upload images or making-of videos of the completed work on personal social media and YouTube channels, ensuring the privacy setting is set to public.
3. Required hashtags: #talktalkkorea2025 #ttk2025
4. Include a self-introduction (including your nationality) and a detailed description of the work when uploading.
5. Include information regarding any sound sources used.

• To submit your contest entry, you must post it to your personal social media and YouTube channels and then provide the link.
• The original submission of the work is only required from the finalists (1,000 entries after the first round of judging). Notifications will be sent individually.
• Finalists are required to submit the original files, and failure to meet the submission requirements may lead to disqualification.

Important Notes for Contest Participation

1. Participants can submit multiple entries for the contest, and it’s possible to receive duplicate awards as long as they are in different categories.
2. The invitation event for visiting Korea is limited to one person, even for teams.
• If you can cover your airfare, accommodation, and other personal expenses, you may participate in the invitation event after prior consultation.
• If a winner is unable to visit Korea due to personal circumstances, the prize may be modified.
3. Entries that are marked as ‘private’ or ‘unlisted’ will be excluded from the judging process.
4. If the account where the work is uploaded is set to ‘private,’ it will be excluded from the judging process.
5. Only original works created and uploaded after 2025 are eligible for submission, and duplicate entries that have been submitted to other contests are not permitted.
6. If you are using original music, please make sure to include that information. If copyright issues arise from sources used in the work, such as music or images of celebrities, the entry may be excluded from the judging process, and any related issues must be resolved by the participant themselves.
7. The copyright (moral rights and economic rights) of works submitted to the contest belongs to the entrant as the creator. However, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is deemed to have provided fair compensation by awarding the announced prize money or benefits for the winning works. The Ministry retains the rights to utilize the economic rights of the winning works (including reproduction rights, performance rights, broadcasting rights, exhibition rights, distribution rights, rental rights, and rights to create derivative works) to showcase them on Ministry channels and promote Korean culture.
8. Prizes may change without prior notice due to shipping circumstances, and any taxes incurred upon receipt of the prizes must be confirmed and paid by the recipient. 
9. In the event of copyright issues, disqualification may occur even after winners are confirmed. If such issues arise after the award, the award may be revoked, and the certificate and prize money must be returned as a matter of principle.
10. If it is confirmed that the submitted work is not your own, is a copy (including cases from abroad), or is a work generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and not an original creation by the individual, it may result in disqualification.
11. If the work defames others or contains illegal information, it may result in disqualification. All disputes and any civil or criminal liabilities related to this are the sole responsibility of the entrant.
12. If the entry deviates from the contest theme or does not follow the submission specifications, it may be excluded from the judging process.
13. If the work contains illegal or sexually suggestive content, it may lead to disqualification.
14. Minors under the age of 14 must obtain consent from a legal guardian to participate; by submitting an entry, you confirm that this consent has been granted. The submitter is solely responsible for any related issues.
15. Works by foreigners are protected under the treaties to which the Republic of Korea is a party.
16. All entries must not violate the portrait rights, copyrights, intellectual property rights (including sound sources, videos, images, illustrations, and fonts), or any other related rights of third parties. In case of any disputes regarding plagiarism or misappropriation, all civil and criminal legal responsibilities lie solely with the entrant.
17. If identical or similar works are submitted, the award-winning entries will be chosen based on the order in which they were submitted, and any subsequent entries will be excluded from award consideration.
18. If there is a possibility of infringing on portrait rights (such as works that feature recognizable individuals), consent for portrait rights must be obtained. If requested by the organizers, a consent form must be submitted. By submitting the work, it will be assumed that “consent for portrait rights” has been obtained, and the submitter is solely responsible for any related issues.
19. The finalist works will be verified by the organizers and will be publicly displayed on the website for about seven days for online voting. During this time, feedback from netizens regarding any irregularities will also be collected.
• Acceptance of objections concerning works that are similar to those awarded in other contests, existing works, or works published through other media.
20. Any disadvantages resulting from a lack of information about the rules and guidelines are the responsibility of the contest participants.

Dalam rangka merayakan Hari Anak di Korea (5 Mei) dan Bulan Keluarga (Mei), Korean Cultural Center Indonesia berkolaborasi dengan Korea-Indonesia Forest Center (KIFC) menggelar "2025 Children's Drawing Contest".

Peserta diundang untuk membuat gambar yang mengekspresikan hubungan mereka dengan hutan dan "K-Forest Friends" dari imajinasi atau yang nyata—dapat mencakup hewan, tanaman, pohon, atau makhluk ajaib yang terinspirasi dari hutan Korea.

Ketentuan Peserta: Anak usia 6 sampai 15 tahun, Warga Negara Indonesia

INFORMASI & KETENTUAN

• Peserta menggunakan kertas gambar yang disediakan oleh penyelenggara (ukuran kertas: A3).
• Alat warna: krayon, pensil warna, atau spidol.
• Peserta membawa alat warna, meja menggambar, dan perlengkapan pribadi lain sendiri (jika diperlukan).
• Peserta membuat gambar dari awal di tempat acara.
• Tiap peserta hanya dapat menyerahkan satu (1) karya.
• Orang tua/pendamping tidak diperkenankan berada di area kontes selama sesi menggambar.
• Kontes ini hanya terdiri dari satu (1) kategori peserta.
• Durasi menggambar: 90 menit.
• Pengumuman pemenang akan dilakukan langsung pada hari dan di tempat yang sama.

CATATAN PENTING

Lomba ini diadakan dalam rangka merayakan budaya 'Jang' (proses fermentasi saus Korea) yang sudah diakui sebagai Warisan Budaya Takbenda UNESCO (4 Desember 2024).

Lomba Memamsak

Lomba yang diselenggarakan ini bertujuan untuk mengajak masyarakat Indoensia membuat makanan korea (ttokbeokki) dengan menggunakan saus korea (Jg), diantarnya adalaha Ganjang, Doenjang, Dan Gochujang. Acara ini diadakan dalam rangka untuk merayakan budaya *jang* (proses fermentasi saus korea) yang sudah diakui sebagai warisan budaya takbenda *UNESCO pada 4 Desember 2024.

Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) menyelenggarakan Lomba Ilustrasi Hanbok dalam Konten Hallyu.

Hanbok adalah salah satu budaya leluhur Korea yang ada sejak ribuan tahun lalu. Hanbok memiliki filosofi dan estetika yang semakin diminati banyak orang di dunia.

Informasi Lomba

• Peserta adalah Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI)
• Kategori Peserta:
• Kategori I : Pelajar (usia maksimal 16 tahun)
• Kategori II : Umum (usia minimal 17 tahun)
• *Batas ketentuan usia peserta seluruh kategori dihitung berdasarkan tanggal periode pendaftaran.
• Ilustrasi dibuat di media berukuran A3 (vertikal/horisontal)
• Ilustrasi dapat digambar manual atau secara digital (program/aplikasi bebas), namun bukan menjiplak secara langsung
• Ilustrasi yang dibuat manual dapat menggunakan cat air, pensil warna, spidol, dan/atau alat gambar lain
• Tidak diperkenankan menggunakan AI (Artificial Intelligence)
• Setiap peserta hanya dapat mendaftarkan 1 (satu) karya
