On August 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will launch the 7th “Action with Women and Peace” Youth Contest. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda and the 10th anniversary of the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda. The contest will highlight the future of the WPS agenda and the role of youth. Young people around the world between the age of 19 and 34 can participate in one of three categories; illustrations, Instagram comics, or slogans. A total of 6 million Korean won in prize money will be awarded, and the grand prize winner will receive round-trip airfare to Korea and accommodation to attend the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to be held during the 7th International Conference on Action with Women and Peace in mid-November, Korea.

• AI and digital technologies are having a huge impact on war, peacebuilding, and humanitarian aid.
• Technological development offers opportunities to improve the safety and access of women and empower them the participate in peace activities.
• Furthermore, those new technologies can work as new instruments to communicate information and messages related to WPS

(#2) The future of women’s leadership in the field of peace and security, and the role of the youth

• Women continue to be underrepresented in the negotiation of ceasefire and peace agreements. However, as women are actors who can prevent conflicts and build peace, full, equal, meaningful, and safe participation of women is pursued to achieve sustainable peace.
• In the area of peace activities, women from diverse generations are participating, and it is important to facilitate inter-generational support and sharing of knowledge and experiences
• Notably, it is necessary that we empower youth and expand their participation as they are the future leader of the peace and security area.

Eligibility

All youth around the world (ages 19-34) can enter the contest.

• In case of team participants, 1 person must be designated as a team leader
• The date used as the basis for determining age is the starting day of the contest, August 18, 2025.
• The MOFA ROK does not engage with the distribution of prize money among team members or the results thereof.

The initial payment will be made to the team representative.

◦The 7th AWP Youth Contest awards a total amount of 6,000,000 Korean won and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award to the winners

◦The grand prize winner will be provided with the round-trip airfare (economy class) to Korea and accommodation (2 nights) to attend the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to be held in mid-November during the 7th International Conference on Action with Women and Peace.

NOTE

• Participants must submit their works in accordance with the specifications and application methods, and failure to do so may result in disqualification from the contest.
• Participants must exercise due diligence to ensure that their submitted works do not infringe upon third parties' portrait rights, copyrights related to images, fonts, or other intellectual property rights, or ownership rights. In the event of any issues related to copyrights of the submitted works, the participant shall bear full civil and criminal liability.
• Entries that are: △award-winning works from other competitions, △works that infringe on others' copyrights or use others' names without permission, or△plagiarized works will be excluded from selection as award-winning works. Even after the award-winning works are decided, if such facts are revealed, the award will be revoked, and the award proceeds will be recovered.
• The content of the submitted work must not disparage the organizing institution, the government of the Republic of Korea, specific countries, or the general public, and must not contain inappropriate content. (e.g., obscene expressions, illegal or discriminatory content)

Guidelines for Utilizing AI

• This contest accepts AI-generated works, including those created using generative AI, or works that utilize AI as entries
• However, if the use of AI involves entering images owned by others into the prompt to induce similar outputs, or directly mentioning specific works or authors in a way that infringes on the copyrights of others, the entry will be excluded from judging and awards.
• When using AI, the prompt entered must be submitted along with the contest participant’s concept, and it will be referenced during the judging process.
• Simply submitting AI-generated outputs resulting from prompt input may be penalized based on evaluation criteria such as creativity. Even when using AI, participants are encouraged to make additional modifications, such as editing, adding, or rearranging the output, to demonstrate their creative contribution.
• For specific guidelines related to AI usage, we recommend referring to the Korean Copyright Commission’s “Guidelines for Creative Work Competitions,”“Generative AI Copyright Guide,” and “Guide to Preventing Copyright Disputes Caused by Generative AI Outputs.”

Creative Commemoration Contest!

• Create your own unique content that reflects the meaning of #LiberationDay, #80th #Anniversary and themes of #Commemoration, #Progress, and #Future.
• Feel free to create videos (under 180 seconds), short-form (under 60 seconds), art and crafts, photo books, and more.
• Express South Korea's achievements over the past 80 years since liberation in creative content that can be celebrated by people around the world.

Contest Theme

• Express a message commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation in your own unique way.
• Themes commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation, reflect on your country's independence and wars, materials related to Korea’s Liberation Day, etc.

Submission Guidelines

• Promotion video: Between 2 and 3 minutes long, in Full HD (1920x1080) resolution or higher
• Meme & Trend: Between 15 and 60 seconds long, in Full HD (1080x1920) resolution or higher
• Art & Craft, Photo Book (submit both the original images and a making-of video)
• Image: Drawn on paper measuring 210mm × 297mm (A4, ISO 216 standard) and then scanned
• Photo: Minimum resolution of 2953 x 4169 pixels, with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher
• Making-of video: Produced in Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and under 5 minutes long
• Format requirements by work type: Entries that do not meet the specified format when submitting the original for the finals may be disqualified.

1. Create a work that freely embodies the spirit of commemorating the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation (the use of artificial intelligence is not allowed).
2. Upload images or making-of videos of the completed work on personal social media and YouTube channels, ensuring the privacy setting is set to public.

4. Include a self-introduction (including your nationality) and a detailed description of the work when uploading.
5. Include information regarding any sound sources used.

Important Notes for Contest Participation

1. Participants can submit multiple entries for the contest, and it’s possible to receive duplicate awards as long as they are in different categories.
2. The invitation event for visiting Korea is limited to one person, even for teams.
• If you can cover your airfare, accommodation, and other personal expenses, you may participate in the invitation event after prior consultation.
• If a winner is unable to visit Korea due to personal circumstances, the prize may be modified.
3. Entries that are marked as ‘private’ or ‘unlisted’ will be excluded from the judging process.
4. If the account where the work is uploaded is set to ‘private,’ it will be excluded from the judging process.
5. Only original works created and uploaded after 2025 are eligible for submission, and duplicate entries that have been submitted to other contests are not permitted.
6. If you are using original music, please make sure to include that information. If copyright issues arise from sources used in the work, such as music or images of celebrities, the entry may be excluded from the judging process, and any related issues must be resolved by the participant themselves.
7. The copyright (moral rights and economic rights) of works submitted to the contest belongs to the entrant as the creator. However, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is deemed to have provided fair compensation by awarding the announced prize money or benefits for the winning works. The Ministry retains the rights to utilize the economic rights of the winning works (including reproduction rights, performance rights, broadcasting rights, exhibition rights, distribution rights, rental rights, and rights to create derivative works) to showcase them on Ministry channels and promote Korean culture.
8. Prizes may change without prior notice due to shipping circumstances, and any taxes incurred upon receipt of the prizes must be confirmed and paid by the recipient. 
9. In the event of copyright issues, disqualification may occur even after winners are confirmed. If such issues arise after the award, the award may be revoked, and the certificate and prize money must be returned as a matter of principle.
10. If it is confirmed that the submitted work is not your own, is a copy (including cases from abroad), or is a work generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and not an original creation by the individual, it may result in disqualification.
11. If the work defames others or contains illegal information, it may result in disqualification. All disputes and any civil or criminal liabilities related to this are the sole responsibility of the entrant.
12. If the entry deviates from the contest theme or does not follow the submission specifications, it may be excluded from the judging process.
13. If the work contains illegal or sexually suggestive content, it may lead to disqualification.
14. Minors under the age of 14 must obtain consent from a legal guardian to participate; by submitting an entry, you confirm that this consent has been granted. The submitter is solely responsible for any related issues.
15. Works by foreigners are protected under the treaties to which the Republic of Korea is a party.
16. Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) akan menggelar “K-Newscasting Competition” dimana peserta berlomba untuk membawakan berita seperti pembaca berita profesional dalam Bahasa Korea. Kompetisi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara dan menulis naskah berita secara profesional dalam Bahasa Korea.

1. Jadwal Pelaksanaan

• Periode Pendaftaran (daring): 2-20 Januari 2025
• Babak Final (luring): 4 Februari 2025 di Korean Cultural Center Indonesia

2. Syarat Peserta

• Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI) yang berbahasa ibu Bahasa Indonesia.
• Berusia 17 tahun keatas.
• Memiliki sertifikat TOPIK level 4 keatas, atau memiliki kemampuan berbahasa Korea yang setara.

3. Cara Mendaftar

• Peserta membuat naskah berita dalam bahasa Korea dengan tema "Tren yang sedang naik daun di kalangan anak muda di Korea".
• Peserta membuat video menyampaikan berita seperti pembawa berita profesional berdurasi 1-3 menit dan diambil dalam bentuk landscape.
• Video harus diawali dengan news opening "KCCI NEWS" 
• Video membawa berita diambil secara one-take, tidak dipotong atau diedit. Peserta dapat membawa naskah saat membawakan berita.
• Video dan naskah berita dikumpulkan bersama dengan foto kartu identitas (KTP/ kartu pelajar) dan data diri di link pendaftaran berikut: forms.gle/CxzqJwpMmGDLimQz8

4. Keterangan

• Poin penilaian dapat dikurangi apabila tidak mengikuti ketentuan yang tertera di pengumuman.
• Tema babak final akan diumumkan bersama dengan undangan kepada peserta yang lolos ke babak final melalui email.
• Keputusan juri adalah mutlak dan tidak dapat diganggu gugat.
• KCCI tidak menanggung biaya transportasi dan/atau biaya akomodasi yang timbul untuk peserta yang lolos ke babak final (luring).

Dalam rangka meramaikan rangkaian “Talk Talk Korea 2024 Exhibition”, Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) menyelenggarakan sebuah kontes bercerita.

Anda bisa bercerita menggunakan metode apa saja, antara lain presentasi, podcast, monolog, ilustrasi, atau lainnya. Namun, ceritanya tentu mengikuti tema dan ketentuan kontes.

Pilihan tema:

1. Pengalaman paling berkesan tentang Korea

2. Andai ke Korea, aku akan ...

Pada bagian akhir video menyebutkan tentang kontes Talk Talk Korea 2024. Silakan gulir formulir ke bagian bawah untuk menemukan kalimat panduan.

Panduan kontes:

1. Peserta adalah WNI, individu atau tim dengan anggota maksimal 2 orang, tidak ada batasan usia.
2. Membuat video sesuai tema.
3. Format video adalah portrait/vertikal (sesuai ukuran reel: width 1080 x height 1920 pixel).
4. Durasi: 1–3 menit.
5. Video diunggah ke Instagram atau TikTok, serta dapat diakses publik (akun tidak dikunci).
6. Tiap orang hanya bisa mendaftar satu kali.
7. Video tidak mengandung unsur SARA dan pornografi. Jika memasukkan foto/potongan video milik pihak lain maka wajib menuliskan sumber (ditempel pada video) dan memastikan bahwa tidak melanggar copyright dan hukum.
8. Foto dan/atau potongan video yang dimasukkan dalam konten bisa dari aset lama milik pribadi.
9. Video belum pernah diikutsertakan dalam lomba apapun.
10. Setelah mengunggah video, silakan mengisi formulir pendaftaran (tautan tersedia di bawah).
11. Karya pemenang dapat digunakan ulang oleh KCCI untuk bahan promosi dan lain-lain.

• The competition is open to anyone who is a current King Sejong Institute student or has taken classes at King Sejong Institute in the past. 
• Winners will be required to submit documentation of affiliation and participation with King Sejong Institute after receiving the award. If you write or submit false information, the award may be canceled.
• Suppose the work has been entered in other competitions or is socially or culturally inappropriate. In that case, it will be excluded from consideration and may be canceled and the prize money returned, even after the award has been made.
• The winning product will not be returned, and may be used for the organizer's "competition business and business related to this organization" and disclosed on the Internet to promote the organizer.
• The judging committee is composed of internal and external experts to judge fairly, and the names of the judges and specific judging contents will not be disclosed.

• Comprehensive license: reproduction rights, performance rights, public performance rights, display rights, distribution rights, rental rights, and the right to create derivative works

As a side event of the 6th conference, the Global Youth Essay and Art contest has been organized to promote awareness among youth about the agenda of ‘Women, Peace and Security.’

• Theme: How to promote Women’s role in building Peace&Security
• Format: A short essay of no more than 1000 words(Korean or English)

※ The Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda focuses on expanding the role of women as key actors in conflict prevention and peacebuilding, as well as strengthening the protection of women in conflict situations. Notably, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) was the first to address the WPS agenda, with its primary objectives being the ❝elimination of violence against women in conflict zones❞ and the ❝increased participation of women in conflict resolution processes❞. As we approach the 25th anniversary of the adoption of Resolution 1325 in October 2025, we seek to explore ways to further develop and advance the WPS agenda.
